Industrial Design (English language)

Goal

The RSP Master course in Industrial Design is a highly qualified in depth study programme which aims at training professionals that will be able to define, both conceptually and operationally, a high added value project of industrial design. Held in English, this course has the goal of teaching a strategic design methodology which will allow students to approach their future professional life with the necessary confidence and skill set.

Program

The didactic pathway perfectly blends theoretical knowledge and experience on-the-field:

lessons in the class on technologies,materials, finitures, light, rendering and sketching, model making, software, trends, marketing and communication;
3 Project Works (consumer products, furniture and life-style products, high-tech products)
3 Workshops

Several visits to enterprises and production sites are planned, to widen the students’ knowledge of the technologies and processes relative to the design projects in progress.

Starting at: January 2009

Target

The course addresses both Italian and foreign professionals and graduates in architecture and design who wish to spend some time to reflect and grow professionally. Architects and designers who want to build a future for themselves as a fully fledged professionals able to design innovative products and technologies, new scenarios of use and contexts of life.

Interior Design (English language)

Goal

The RSP Master course in Interior Design is a highly qualified in depth study programme which aims at moulding skilled professionals capable to conceptually and operationally plan, control and simulate a coherent space, both original and functional. The course, held in English, has the set goal of developing critical, analytic and methodological skills and competencies and to instil how to pinpoint innovative architectural concepts.

Program

The formative course takes advantage of a dynamics and effective methodology that comprises theoretical lessons, practical practices in group jobs and characterize them, laboratory activity, seminaries and testimonies of experts, final examination. The course is articulated in three phases: Propedeutical phase - Introduction to the contemporary scene of the architectonic production, of the design and the trend of consumption of the products; Deepening and Search Phase - Deepening of the progectual and technical aspects of the Interior Design. Search and elaboration of the final Project work ; Preparation Plan phase - preparation of the plan of thesis with the advising of the teacher.

Architects and designers who want to build a future for themselves as a fully fledged professionals able to design innovative architectural, spacial and functional contexts of life.

Light Design (English language)

Goal

The RSP Master course in Lighting Design, held in English, is a highly qualified in depth study programme which aims at moulding skilled professionals capable to control and manipulate light, and work in the research, design and marketing fields in connection with the Italian business system of companies producing lighting devices, as the use of lighting sources has in recent years become more and more refined and the lighting project fundamental in architecture and design.

Program

The didactic pathway is divided into:

Lessons in the class on lighting-techniques, optical waves design, electrical regulations and safety, technologies and materials, light sketching, software, trends, marketing and communication;

3 Project Works (light experience, light in the space, light in the city)

3 Workshops

Several visits to enterprises and production sites are planned, to widen the students’ knowledge of sites, technologies and processes relative to the design projects in progress.

Starting at: January 2008

Target

The course addresses both Italian and foreign professionals and graduates: architects, designers, photographers, scenographers and art directors who wish to spend some time to reflect, grow professionally and build a future for themselves as a fully fledged professionals in the field of light design.

Packaging Design (English language)

Goal

The RSP Master course in Packaging Design, held in English, is a highly qualified in depth study programme which aims at moulding skilled professionals that, at the end of the course, will be able to easily develop any kind of project in packaging design, and relate themselves to the different structures and figures of the producing chain of the "packaging product" (companies, material suppliers, distributors, etc.).

Program

The didactic pathway is divided into:

Lessons in the class on 2D Design Approach, 3D Packaging Approach, technologies and materials of packaging, sketching, model making, software, trends, marketing and brand communication;

3 Project Works (paper packaging, plastic and cosmetic packaging, glass and food packaging)

3 Workshops

Several visits to enterprises and production sites are planned, to widen the students’ knowledge of the technologies and processes relative to the design projects in progress.

The course addresses both Italian and foreign professionals and graduates in architecture and industrial / graphic design who wish to spend some time to reflect and grow professionally. Architects and industrial and graphic designers who want to build a future for themselves as a fully fledged professionals able to imagine and design innovative products and technologies, new functions and scenarios.
