Objectives: the principal objective of the course is for the students to acquire the theoretical, technological and project tools necessary for taking on professional work in the field of interior architecture and decoration.

        Program

Designers are concerned about space, light, colour, order and proportion. In reality we seek an ideal space for a specific function. Investigation and reflection about the multiple relationships of the subject with its surroundings means we can project spaces, prototypes and elements with their own internal architecture.

Aimed at: everybody interested in acquiring basic knowledge of interior stylism, based on creative, flexible and practical foundations.

        Duration: 80 hours

From 29 June to 17 July 2009.

Timetable: from 16:30 to 21:30 h. from Monday through to Friday.

        Objectives

Through this course the student will acquire the methodology for design processes and for the handling of tools necessary in order to take on a complete project. They will also have the opportunity to learn about the different steps involved in a multi-discipline creative process.

        Program

The course is divided into three areas: 3 creative workshops, cultural visits and the final project.

I. Workshops: the students will take part in intensive experimental workshops for a total of 15 hours each one, spread over three days. Professional experts will be in charge of the workshops, and they will teach the students the knowledge necessary for the study and development of creative exercises.

II. Cultural visits: the student will make a series of guided visits at the weekends to the best museums in the city, as a complement to their education in the areas of design. Madrid has one of the most important collections of museums in the world: the Museum del Prado, the Queen Sofia Art centre, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum.

III.
