IED presents the winners of My Own Show 2012
The sixth edition of My Own Show is going to begin. The international competition, conceived and promoted by Istituto Europeo di Design and Franca Sozzani, leads every year the best students graduated from the IED Network to debut on a great catwalk during Milano Collezioni Donna the capsule collections of.
On Monday, 28th November, from 11.00 am, twenty-eight students coming from IED Milan, Rome, Turin, Madrid, Barcelona and Sao Paolo Seats gathered at IED Moda in Milan in order to present 22 capsule collections that they created as Thesis projects last year. It is a selection of outfits that they realized together with books and videos. Moreover, also three fashion stylist projects, a category included in My Own Show for the second year, were presented.
A special jury, chaired by Mrs Franca Sozzani - Vogue Italia Editor in chief and Scientific Director of IED Moda, and composed of Sara Maino (Vogue Italia), Paolo Riva (Valentino Fashion Group), Saverio Moschillo (Falber-Moschillo), Betty Smith (Condé Nast Spagna), Tiziana Cardini (La Rinascente), Simonetta Gianfelici, Beppe Angiolini (Asso Buyer Moda), Claudio Antonioli (Antonioli Store) and Riccardo Grassi (Studiozeta Milano) followed them with interest and curiosity, but most of all with a deep attention in order to identify the best talents to be launched this year.
Unanimously, they selected the winners. For the Fashion Design category: Sante Bozzo - IED Rome for Womenswear, Vincenzo Lattanzio - IED Milan and Inés Vilagut - IED Barcelona for the Manswear. Their projects will be produced in the next months thanks to prestigious fashion companies. Beside them, for the Fashion Stylist category. Francesca Lancia - IED Rome has been selected. Her project will be followed by Vogue.it editorial board.
The creativity and the transversality of the projects, the research together with the elegance of the works, and the project coherence applied to the outfit prototypes are the reasons according to which the jury selected these very young talents.
The appointment will be on February 2012, with a special event included in the Milano Moda Donna program. Ii will take place at IED seat in Via Bezzecca 5 in Milan, hearth of one of the most important Milanese fashion district.
Again this year, Alfaparf, one of the Italian leading cosmetics groups in the world, is partner of My Own Show.
