Objectives
This Master intends to train design professionals innovation, creativity and management of projects and teams of professionals. Sustainability will be raised particularly in depth, expecting to give a multidisciplinary formation and showing different aspects and points of view. With this in mind, the aim is to shape designers with leading training in this field which appears to be the great motor for innovation in the years to come.
Methodology
The course is divided in two parts. First part is composed by theoretical and practical subjects, centered on the assimilation of new knowledge related with sustainability and process. During this first stage, there will be seminars and workshops to develop and practice different areas, to assimilate the new concepts acquired in theoretical and practical lessons. The second stage works by the development of a final project, in collaboration with enterprises, to be fulfilled with mentality and criteria of professional exigency. It is a complex project in which students incorporate the acquired knowledge during the first stage of the course, and it will be completed by subjects conceived to optimize students’ presentation quality. During the whole course, several professionals will contribute complementing the contents, giving lectures and punctual workshops.

Professional Opportunities
After attending to this Master, students will have acquired competencies to develop their career in design studio or in technical and innovation departments, as well as working on their own projects and business ideas related to design. They will acquire training to join enterprise design and innovation teams, and they will be prepared to bring added value to design studios and / or generate the own professional path creating an innovative business or their own creative studio.
Coordinators
Each Master is assessed by a specialist in the area, who has an active role in the studies plan development and contents in collaboration with the didactics department of the Master Area. The coordinator also supports the incorporation of specific teachers of the sector, as well as the relationships with enterprises and institutions from the knowledge area of the course..
Oriol Guimerà
Designer of product, ephemeral spaces and enterprise design consultant. He studied at Elisava and graduated in 1994. He worked in Milan to learn from classic in a multicultural studio. In 1998 he took graduate studies in business creation and management, before creating his multidisciplinary and product design studio Táctica. In 2006, he assumes the design direction of Simon Lighting to create products with added value. At the moment he is working at his own product design studio, GuimeràiCinca (www.guimeraicinca.com).

Timetable: Monday – Thursday, from 18.30 to 22.30. There will be lessons some Fridays.
