Make a difference in this key field for fashion by betting on a differentiating approach and commitment to the environment.

The Bootcamp in Slow Design and Production of Fashion Accessories offers you a theoretical-practical approach to the most traditional and sustainable aspect of this speciality within the sector.

Delving into aspects such as materials, tools, processes, techniques or costs, the course addresses the traditional practice of basket weaving to apply it to the manual creation of a variety of contemporary pieces and accessories (bags, shoes, hats, belts, etc.).

Information to decide

An immersive learning about the creation of fashion accessories from a slow perspective that you can apply as a hobby, as a business as a business or in your daily professional practice.

Over 25 hours, this program will take you deeper into the knowledge of materials, tools, processes, techniques or costs, combining theory with practical exercises and the development of a final project.

● People who are fond of fashion design and product design who are interested in learning the slow design and production process of fashion accessories to go further in their hobby or to start a business.

● Students and professionals of product design and fashion design who want to delve deeper into the slow production of fashion accessories.

● Artisans specialized in other branches or with knowledge of it who want to learn about the topic.

As it is a short course, basic knowledge of product design or fashion design must be accredited.

A program designed for those who wish to direct their creativity and/or professional profile to this specific field of fashion from a commitment to circularity, the slow philosophy and personalization.

It is coordinated by Idoia Cuesta, who was awarded in 2014 the Premio Nacional de Artesanía (National Craftsmanship Award) and in 2021 the Premio de Artesanía de Galicia (Galician Craft Award), and works on the fusion of basketry with textiles and has collaborated with internationally prestigious brands.

The combination of tradition and experimentation, the acquisition of skills aligned with market demands and the support of prestigious teachers in the sector are other strengths of this proposal.
