IED, the International Institute of Design, was founded in Milan in 1966 by its current president, Francesco Morelli. The grand opening of the first Italian school was soon followed by the opening of campuses in Rome and Turin with the aim to combine theory and practice in a unique teaching method. In addition to the Italian colleges, IED has established new campuses in Spain and Brazil in order to give an international flavour to its innovative education and create new opportunities to study abroad.
