The Master of European Design Labs is a program of studies, work and research methodologically based in project culture. The course promotes critical observation and reflection as essential values for good designers. By means of creative research, students connect and link a range of fields within design, to learn to propose projects which respond, with originality and efficiency, to current demands. The course aims to convey a new way of seeing and thinking about things from the perspective of design, training independent professionals, who are capable of leading projects and proposing consistent initiatives.

Potential students: Professionals linked to the field of design in the widest sense of the word; for anyone interested in exploring creative and innovative ways to approach creation from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Description
  • The Master of European Design Labs is a program of studies, work and research methodologically based in project culture. It views design as the creative discipline within which products, services, systems and spaces are designed; the designer is considered to be an independent professional who generates appropriate proposals for each need. The objective of this program is to convey a new way of seeing and thinking from a design perspective, to train independent professionals in how to lead projects and propose coherent initiatives.

    Students of the Master of European Design Labslearn to: manage and coordinate interdisciplinary teams; strengthen their identity as creative professionals; build trend maps of European design and culture; anticipate and interpret future scenarios; establish personal contacts with diverse European professionals; and conceptualize, develop and communicate innovative ideas

    Trips: students of the Master of European Design Labs will travel to various European capitals of design throughout the academic year. The cost of transportation and accommodations for these trips is included in the price.

    The main professional opportunities for students of this Master include: Senior Designer at a design studio or company, leading projects and initiatives and managing multidisciplinary work teams; Senior Designer at any company or professional studio interested in project development, processes, services, strategies, or lines of communication; Design Consultant, as a freelancer or in a design studio or company; Design Manager, as a freelancer or in a design studio or company; freelance entrepreneur, building their own company and developing their own quality brand; or Freelance Designer.
