The Official Undergraduate Degree in Product Design trains students to be creative professionals with technological and project knowledge that enables them to develop products and services for consumers, keeping in mind their intervention with the environment. The design of all kinds of objects, produced industrially or artisanally, to make them attractive and useful for users. Product desingers anticipate the demands and needs of the market, developing projects in a resposible way, working on research and the implementation of new methods, materials and manufacturing processes.

Professional Profiles: Urban and domestic furniture designer; Product designer; Household products, bath and home accessories designer, lighting, toys, items, packaging, jewellery, etc.

Teachings

The Official Undergraduate Degree in Design, specialising in Product Design, trains students to
become creative, ethical and innovative designers, with projectual, technological and management skills which will allow them to develop products and services to improve the quality of life of users and the environment.

The teaching methodology revolves around a method based on the current economic and social-cultural context, where students learn about the importance of their professional role, with the
production of their own multidisciplinary projects for research, experimentation and creativity, synchronising with other support contents and activities, such as seminars, workshops and technical, technological, cultural and communication subjects.
The contact with companies, designers, experts on sustainability and industry, and other professionals forms part of the continuous experience enjoyed by the students.
By the third year, students may choose from three different specialisations:
Product, Home Design or Urban Design.
This program has been recognized by the Autonomous Government of Madrid and the Spanish National Government as an official Degree in Product Design.
