The Master of Textiles and Surfaces Design offers specific training in the pattern design of prints applicable to a range of fields: textiles and products (wallpaper, ceramic, homeware etc.) and trains professionals to develop designs for specific surfaces, enabling them to make decisions regarding techniques and production processes on the basis of their possibilities and purposes, learning about the industrial, semi-industrial and manual processes used in each of them, with their specific lexicon and technical peculiarities.

The Master of Textiles and Surfaces Design trains students on the creative facets of their work, helping them express their ideas on the basis of a set of aesthetic criteria, as well as on the economy of resources, to pick the best ways to carry a project to term.

The Master recognises the huge demands posed by this industry, and is the only one of its kind in Spain.

Description

The Master of Textile and Surfaces Design is conceived for those who want to specialize in the area of textile and home design. Throughout the course, students acquire the knowledge necessary to determine the design, techniques and production processes for each type of surface (textile, ceramics, weaving ...).

The learning process of the Master of Textile and Surfaces Design trains textile designers specializedin specific production processes of different materials. People qualified not only to develop a design applicable to a particular surface with the necessary technical features, but also to make decisions about techniques and production processes in line with their abilities and goals.

Professional opportunities: Textile design departments, Departments specialized in home accessories or Home Design, Associate designer in studios of product, fashion and interior design, Designer-consultant.
