Madrid capital of Spain, active, creative and frantic.

The city of Madrid, a changing city: urban culture, scene for architects and avant-garde designers in arts and fashion, contemporary buildings and bars full of young people who assimilate the new tendencies that invade the city.

The IED Madrid today, it is a Private Centre for Higher Art and Design Education and offers Official Undergraduate Degrees in Design (4 years), IED Diploma (3 years), MA courses, Specialisation courses and Summer courses.

In this innovative frame IED inaugurated in 1994 its first Spanish school in Madrid; the modernist building located in the Calle Larra, IED Master , and the new school which measures more than 3.000m2: the Palace of Altamira, a spectacular building of the XVIII century situated in the economic and cultural centre of Madrid.

In these schools there are theoretical classrooms, which are flexible configuration spaces, and computer science and project laboratories, where creative young people study about graphics design, motion graphics, 3D animation, fashion design, interior and industrial design, advertising and marketing.
