School of Visual Arts in Madrid

The School of Visual Arts, with its courses in Graphic Design, Digita Digital Design (Websites, Videos and Motion Graphics) and Virtual 3D Animation Design, is a creative lab where students learn linguistic and technical tools and codes for the transmission and elaboration of images. The technological revolution in which we are currently immersed constantly changes both the content of visual arts as well as the parameters that define the profile of its professionals.

Upon graduating, students are able to work in design studios, advertising agencies, multimedia companies, newspapers, publishing groups (news, magazines, books, DVDs), media agencies, computer graphics and 3D animation studios, signage companies, packaging companies, communications and promotional marketing companies, audiovisual and film producers, television channels and printing houses, or create their own studio.

The industry of visual arts is quite probably the sector that has suffered the greatest changes in the last few years and has also experienced the greatest growth: we live in a society of images. Graphic design, website design, motion graphics, 3D animation design, photography, illustration, videos and audio are the disciplines studied and investigated in this area of the IED Madrid. Within this panorama, continuous training and updating in the new expressive languages, technological tools and formats are fundamental. Because of this, one of the priorities of the IED Madrid is to develop the our students’ intellectual maturity and capacity for learning.
