Le vie del Design (the Ways of Design)
Again this year, IED promotes “Le Vie del Design”, a programme of guided visits through the most important and interesting events presented during the exhibition FuoriSalone in Milan.
With “Le Vie del Design”, IED aims at getting young people closer to design in its most original and creative shapes and expressions through artistic installations, product exhibitions, and developing settings represented during the events of the Milanese FuoriSalone in order to make clear the importance of a cross-look on the everyday life. A look able to completely observe things in a creative way. The stages of the pathway will be defined by a Scientific Committee composed of designers and experts in communication, and will be explained by teachers working at IED Milan, collaborators and design professionals.

An open appointment which will see you as a protagonist in discovering how the fashion world works and all the professional figures related to it.

Workshop 2009
Taking part in a IED workshop is a unique experience: a whole day engaged in inventing, originating ideas, creating, designing and building. From January the four IED schools – Design, Arti Visive, Moda and Comunicazione – open their doors to welcome hundreds of young people who feel like putting to the test their dreams, passions and talents.
People who want to experience what it means to plan advertising campaigns and events, design objects, animate 3D characters, realise clips from the video to post-production stages or discover how editing works and how to create an event soundtrack.
You will be able to try and design a dress, a jewel, invent a marketing campaign for a brand, design computer graphics, work on the Internet, radio or cinema as sound designer, create settings and stage settings.
IED teachers and student will assist the participants engaged in the workshop: the expertise of professionals guides the instinct and creativity of young talents. During the day IED staff will be available to provide any information on training programmes, careers and job opportunities.
Workshops are related to three-year post-secondary school daytime courses.
