CAPPELLINI PRESENTS IED
On 17 July, Giulio Cappellini will present the Cappellini: a spasso per la casa (Cappellini: round about the home) thesis projects to firms and to the press.
The results of the partnership between the IED and the Cappellini concern, the thesis projects developed by third-year students in Product Design and Interior Design will go on show in the Cappellini showroom in Milan: ten prototypes of
“cupboards-containers” for the home, designed to appeal to an increasingly cosmopolitan target, in the context of a dynamic, changeable, customisable and stimulating concept of the home.
Although the products have decisive identities of their own, they are capable of blending into a variety of settings, introducing a new, functional voice into the choir of home furnishings: a new approach to storage and tidiness that derives from a balanced combination of custom design, as in the finest traditions of Cappellini, and advanced technologies.
As the ten designs are all extremely adaptable, people can use them to furnish a space differently and reinvent its purpose.
17 July, 6.00 – 8.00 p.m.
