"Softness make her toughness.” This is the claim that accompanies the jewelry collection by Yi Tian, a student who, with her project 'Lace has spikes,' highlights the challenges faced by young Chinese women living in non-conventional relationships.

A collection that tells the tenacity and softness of these girls through the chosen materials: lace, a fabric that evokes intimacy and depth in relationships, and metal spikes, weapons developed to defend themselves from the outside world, from the patriarchal propaganda that only advocates for conventional relationships and marriages. Yi Tian's work is aimed at young Chinese feminists who want to express their personalities through jewelry as well.
