The graduate degree in Fashion Marketing and Communication at IED Rio prepares professionals for creating and implementing communication strategies and marketing envisioning opportunities, aligning the identity of brands to the contemporary marketing context.

With an emphasis on the Brazilian scene at its interface with the domestic and foreign markets, and the exploration of segments—from production to the consumer experience—the course offers strategies in communication and marketing, the fashion chain, behavior, innovation, retail, branding, and creative economy. It also features workshops by expert professionals.

The program examines on systems of fashion; contemporary interfaces; behavior and innovation; trends and new scenarios; the creative economy and entrepreneurship; the chain and the market; management processes and brands; marketing plans and strategies; finances; intellectual property rights; integrated communication; the communication plan. Students develop a marketing and communication plan, exploring different languages, contents, and techniques for their final projects.

The course is indicated for designers in all fields; professionals with training and degrees in fashion, textiles, advertising, communication, journalism, marketing, and related fields; as well as people with experience in the fashion industry.

The coordinator is Gláucia Centeno, a fashion journalist with a masters in communication, who is an expert in Brazilian history and the Business of Film and TV. Centeno teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Administration and Communication and Design. A researcher in the areas of fashion, culture and identity, Centeno also served as administrator of graduate courses in Research of Behavior and Consumerism and Online courses in Fashion Design.
