Please note that this a summary of the main steps you must take to enroll in three-year Bachelor of Arts with Honours Courses, leading to an BAH Degree validated by the University of Westminster

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entry requirements set by the University of Westminster
In order to be eligible for admission to a three-year Bachelor of Arts with Honours Courses, leading to an BAH Degree validated by the University of Westminster students have to:
1) hold a foreign school leaving qualification that satisfies the requirements for access to university education in the awarding country;
2) be competent in English;
3) Comply with the pre-enrolment procedures of IED for the BAH courses.
Language Requirements
For Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree courses that carry accreditation from the University of Westminster, a level of language proficiency in English of IELTS 6.0 (or TOEFL 550) is required. To prove that an applicant has the necessary language proficiency he or she has to present a language certificate issued by authorised bodies and undergo a language test.
IED ADMISSION AND ENROLMENT PROCESS
The Admission and Enrolment process foresees four steps to be completed before October 15th 2012.
The four admission steps are the following:
1) Pre-enrollment process
2) Personal Admission Test Interview
3) Enrolment confirmation process
4) Matriculation process
Pre-Enrolment Process
IED Pre-enrollment procedures
To gain admission students must comply with the Pre-enrollment procedures and send the following documents:
a. the BAH pre-enrolment form and the registration request forms for the Admission Test Interview, which can be found and downloaded from the web page of the selected IED Diploma Degree Course at www.ied.edu, completely filled out and duly signed;
b. the Letter of motivation;
c. the supporting Portfolio (suggested but non compulsory);
d. a copy of their Passport or (for EU citizens only) of their Identity document;
e. a copy of the Certificate of Proficiency in English, in compliance with language requirements of the course

The Admission Test Interview
IED welcomes applications from all prospective students and wishes to accept students with the best potential, irrespecti- ve of their background. The purpose of the admission interview is to understand their motivation and attitudes in undertaking the chosen IED academic course and their level of comprehension of the language in which it is delivered.
A strong motivation and strong awareness of the contents of the BAH programme and sufficient familiarity with the language are the best guarantee that the students’ will get the most out of their three-year academic degree experience at the IED.
The Admission Test Interview consists of:
a. motivational interview based on a mandatory Motivational Letter and a digital Portfolio (IMPORTANT: please read in the downloadable document all information for guidance in portfolio building);
b. a language assessment test.
Please note: An on-site motivational interview can be organized only in special cases if the students are in Italy
Enrolment Confirmation
Once students have passed the admission interview, they will receive from IED:
a. a Certificate of Admission;
b. the Enrolment Contract Form for the Three-year Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree course
c. the IED General Administrative conditions and regulations;
d. the IED Academic and Campus rules and regulations;
e. the approval declaration form of Consensus to the personal data treatment according to the Privacy law 196/2003, disclaimer for free services.
This will complete the admission phase, but will not guarantee the enrolment in the course.
In order to be assured of having a place in the course the applicants will have to complete the enrolment process by returning the Enrolment Contract Form duly filled and signed, pay the Enrolment Fee, and the Admission Test Interview fee and send it with a copy of the receipt of payment by mail to admissions@ied.edu.
Matriculation
Finally to complete matriculation in the chosen BA degree course, students must proceed to:
a. the payment of the first year tuition fee: this should be done with a single payment no later than October 15th 2012;
b. the payment of the first module of the Prerequisite Course fee if required (not later than August 31st 2012).
IED to complete matriculation must have received from the student all the requested documents.
Reccomended Timing
Enrolment for the 2012-2013 academic year at IED started in November 2011 and ends in September 2012. In order to successfully enroll foreign students, especially those coming from NON-EU countries, are strongly advised to send all documentation and start the process of admission to IED as soon as possible.
Direct Admission / Transfer Student
Students who wish to be admitted the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Arts with Honour must go through the same Admission Process described above and complete it with the following extra documentation:
a. Transfer Student Form duly filled and signed (downloadable on the BAH Course web page);
b. study curriculum translated into English, specifying the credits obtained (transcript) and a Description of the subjects;
c. a personal Curriculum Vitae;
d. a digital Portfolio.

Once IED has received all this documentation, the Academic Council will appraise the application’s suitability to be directly admitted to the 2nd year after evaluation of the academic credits and/or debits situation. If admitted the applicant will have to undergo an interview with a member of the Academic Team of the chosen location to undersign the Course Structure.
Enrolment and Tuition Fees
Enrolment and tuition fees can be found for each BAH Course you wish to apply for in the pre-enrolment form downloadable in the selected Course page. They are composed by: Enrolment Fee, Regional DSU Tax, Admission Test Interview Fee and Tuition Fee.
The Language Prerequisite course fee, if requested, is not included in the above mentioned fees.
Reimbursements
IED will reimburse the Enrolment Fee only if NON-EU visa application is refused (letter of refusal to be provided as evidence).

AFTER ENROLMENT
Payment of tuition fee
After enrolling, students need to proceed with payment of the tuition fee and, if requested, the Prerequisite fee within the provided timing.
Prerequisite placement test
Students who need to follow the Prerequisite language course, have to report to IED at the beginning of September to undergo a language placement test necessary to evaluate the appropriate class level.
Induction Programme.
All the students enrolled to IED courses have to participate in the Induction Programme, which is designed to welcome and introduce new students to IED and gain important information about the course they are enrolled in.
After completing all these steps will be officially an IED student, ready to begin your new experience!
