Just imagine yourself designing the space of the future, where practical, visual and emotional features merge into one another. Find out how to achieve this on our Interior Design degree programme at IED Torino

Use all the styles and tools involved in the work of Interior Designers, getting across architecture and technology, in a perfect blend with knowledge of living standards, practical aspects, regulations, aesthetics and comfort.

The three-year Interior Design degree programme at IED Torino will give you the skills to translate customer requirements into a project idea, developing innovative and environmentally sound solutions for different types of applications.

The programme will allow you to acquire first-hand experience of a variety of materials and how they can be used to design areas of different types, including residential, commercial and temporary installations.

After the course, a First Level Academic Diploma is issued. It is recognised by MUR - Italian Ministry of University and Research - and has the same legal value of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Information to decide

Creativity and technique merge together in a programme specifically intended for future designers who will create improved spaces through their projects

On your Interior Design programme at IED Torino, you will acquire the tools needed to understand how spaces and shapes interact with each other and how to approach the different challenges of project design. You will also learn how to create new settings using your own creativity and personal expressiveness. This approach will provide the basis for new projects designed around the end user and consistently driven by customer requirements.

Your skills will be enhanced with cultural insights from all the areas that will contribute to building your future profession. You will be able to translate all of your theory knowledge into practical applications.

From the first to the third year, your overall growth will result in increased confidence when using the typical software tools for design. You will also develop stronger project design skills to help you bring out your personal vision. As part of your training, you will have the opportunity to test your skills working with some excellent companies, cultural organizations and institutions.

To join this programme, students are not required to have any prerequisites in science subjects or specific freehand drawing skills.

Our programme is open to all students who want to experiment with new solutions for contemporary and stylish interior design. The idea is based on improving psychophysical well-being, with full attention to the emotions and needs of everyone involved.

The Interior Design degree programme at IED Torino is for students who want to bring the idea of ‘feeling at home’ outside the boundaries of home. The new concept is about reshaping the interior space to provide a feeling of comfort and safeness, based on careful and accurate project design process.

You will soon find out that career prospects are extremely varied and not just restricted to that of Interior Designer.

One of the main reasons to go for our Interior Design degree programme in Turin is the city itself. Here you can enjoy a long-standing tradition in all fields of design, with inspiration from the work of some great interior designers such as Carlo Mollino.

This programme is designed for anyone who is looking for a new direction: not just recent graduates, but also professionals with a strong passion for design and, more specifically, for interior design applications.

With an emphasis on market trends and new materials, this programme is based on just a few key concepts. Culture, because project design means taking ideas from the past and reworking them into a modern form. A focus on research, as a way to better understand how things change and provide appropriate solutions. Cooperation, because this is the kind of mindset that all project designers should have among their soft skills set. Materials knowledge, which means using materials with awareness of how they can work together to expand the sense of space - from colours to textures, everything should work in synergy.

The main software you will need during your course is provided by IED!

On this page you will find all the features you need for your computer.
