Open Day of the Master in Arts Management

A whole day to plunge into the mood of the new Master in Arts Management organized by IED that will start on February 2012. The program includes a lectio by Philip Rylands (Guggenheim), and practical workshops. Moreover, participants can win a scholarship for the Master.

An open day to plunge into the mood, contents and potentialities of the new Master in Arts Management of IED | Istituto Europeo di Design, to meet teachers, to know programs, to remove doubts and to receive information by the teaching and administrative staff.

While waiting for the beginning of the courses, IED opens the doors of the Venice seat to those who wish to receive information about the learning pathway of the Master in Arts Management, the first Master travelling among three seats – Venice, Florence and Rome – dedicated to the planning, organization and management of the artistic and cultural events. The Master - lasting 8 months - will be totally held in English and will lead the students in a kind of contemporary training and art Grand Tour by focusing on the future works, also thanks to the proactive collaboration with some important cultural foundations.

The Open Day will be divided into two sessions, starting from 10.00 a.m.: the point of greatest interest in the morning will be the conference “My first 30 years as an art manager” led by Philip Rylands, Director of the  Peggy Guggenheim Collection that is partner foundation of the Master in Arts Management. While in the afternoon great attention will be paid to the creativity and talent of the participants with the workshop entitled “Designing an art show on the canals”. The selected work can win a scholarship equal to a 25% discount on the tuition fee to the Master.

11.30 a.m. - Workshop “Designing an art show on the canals” led by Cristiano Corte and Raffaele Ferrante
1.00 p.m. – Lunch time
2.00 p.m. –Design session
4.00 p.m. – Presentation of the projects
5.00 p.m. – Assessment of the projects by the Board and following declaration of the winner of the scholarship
6.00 p.m. – Closing cocktail
