The Summer Course aims at equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to define a ‘sales point’, by analyzing the product, the various forms of presentation, and by studying product layout and display. The course will also deal with the basic principles of marketing strategies and how to implement them, guidelines on fashion marketing, and the role of product manager.

Objectives

The course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to define a ‘sales point’, by analysing the product, the various forms of presentation, and by studying product layout and display. The course will also deal with the basic principles of marketing strategies and how to implement them, guidelines on fashion marketing, and the role of product manager.


Methodology

Combining practical and theoretical classes so to achieve the objectives of the program. A final project is performed by students and it must be submitted the last day of lessons, and also different visits related to course content are done within the schedule.

Who is it for?
Fashion or marketing students and people working in the world of fashion. Students without prior knowledge will also be considered.

Course Coordinator

DAVID ORTEGA GÓMEZ
A Graduate in Interior Design, he has his own graphic design, industrial design and, in particular, interior design studio. He combines working from his studio with teaching and has been a lecturer at IED since 2006. He recently published the book "Dibujo a mano alzada para diseñadores de interiores” (Freehand drawing for interior designers) published by Editorial Paramón. Mr. Ortega is a secondary school art teacher at St. Peter’s School in Barcelona. In recent years he has become interested in all things related to creativity, strengthening the inner abilities of individuals and teaching classes in high schools, art centres and companies.
