Take your creative talent, add an essential skillset for digital transformation, and mix with critical and collaborative thinking to produce groundbreaking user experience solutions.
In this Master’s Degree in Interaction Design you’ll learn to react, adapt and leverage the impact of digital transformation to develop meaningful interactive experiences.
During the course we’ll cover every stage of the interaction design process, from research to output, for the grounding you need to use creative business and leadership skills in multidisciplinary professional settings.
Curiosity, experimentation and analytical vision are actively encouraged in this English-taught course as you develop your empathetic and collaborative skills. You’ll be collaborating on projects with top companies in the interactive digital design sector.
A course with a creative, collaborative, analytical and practice-based approach that covers the entire interactive digital design process.
The Master’s Degree in Interaction Design is split into two parts. The first is an interdisciplinary learning experience in which you’ll learn the basics of the trade. In the second you’ll develop your skills in the discipline of your choice: Digital Management, Creative Coding, UX/UI Design or Digital Fabrication.
You’ll study the foundations on which the concepts of interaction design are built in the first part of the course, and get a grounding in the four specialisations. The course is organised as a weekly program based on the development of a digital service or product (think, design, code, make and inspire).
The second part is slightly different: students work together on interdisciplinary activity day projects, then study content autonomously for their specialisation pathway.
It’s for creative people interested in designing interactive digital products, environments, systems and services: design and communication professionals with a passion for new technologies; junior UX professionals looking to broaden their experience in IxD; managers and creative spirits working in advertising and communication; future creative talents and manufacturers in the digital sector.
If you want to lead the digital field of the future with the critical and collaborative thinking and technical skills it takes to create meaningful interactions that have a positive impact on people's lives, this is the course for you.
In addition to theoretical and technological knowledge and mastering digital fabrication tools and software, you’ll also develop design, production, communication and leadership skills, and be actively encouraged to take your creative talent to new heights as an autonomous professional designer.
You’ll collaborate on projects with interactive digital design companies in the entrepreneurial and cultural context of Barcelona, a technological hub of reference in Europe, an excellent source of inspiration, and a hotbed of creativity.
What will your learn?
The syllabus consists of a common module and a specific module, both of which are mandatory and valid for your grade. The first is a shared learning experience, while in the second you’ll develop the professional specialisation of your pathway.
The syllabus focuses on experimentation and innovation and gives you a solid grounding in critical design and new business models. To provide a comprehensive overview of the profession, the course includes visits to companies operating in the sector, cultural trips, creative afterwork sessions, presentations, and talks with creative people working in other fields every Friday.
