Fashion is a language that reflects the spirit of the times, intertwining identity and diversity, and responding with creativity and awareness to the urgencies of the present.

On the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, you will learn to manage the entire creative process required to design a fashion collection, from researching sources of inspiration to translating ideas into finished products, while gaining an understanding of the meanings and material impacts connected to the dynamics of the fashion system.

Within state-of-the-art workshops, you will develop technical skills that enable you to independently create garments and accessories, strengthening your knowledge of tailoring and exploring material culture and textile technology, the foundations of any collection. At the same time, you will learn to use digital technologies, allowing you to steer your research towards experimental and innovative design outcomes.

This hands-on, workshop-based approach is complemented by the acquisition of a broad visual culture, combining fashion history and critical insights in the arts with a close observation of social and cultural dynamics in contemporary society—essential for expanding research directions, understanding fashion trends and increasing the level of experimentation in your projects.

Thanks to this approach, over the three years you will build your stylistic and creative identity and refine your critical perspective on the present, gaining awareness of environmental and social responsibility issues linked to the fashion industry and its expressive codes.

Throughout the programme, you will be guided by a faculty of leading professionals from both national and international contexts, and you will engage with brands, companies and industry districts, collaborating on real briefs and receiving support for the development of your projects. This constant dialogue with the production world will allow you to explore the many facets of Fashion Design: from clothing collections to textiles and knitwear, from shoes & accessories to increasingly relevant areas such as activewear and adaptive design.
