In an increasingly image-saturated world, photography is not merely a technical medium, but an expressive language for rethinking contemporary narratives.

In the Bachelor of Arts in Photography you will learn to observe reality and translate it into images through a hybrid approach combining analogue processes with new technological tools.

Over the three-year course, you will explore the many facets of photography, from reportage to artistic practice, from portraiture to fashion photography, following a personal development path that will enable you to communicate professionally through photography, refine your visual sensitivity, and define your own authorial style.

You will develop technical and design skills related to both analogue and digital photography, analysing their evolution within the visual arts landscape — from traditional practices to experimentation with the most advanced technologies. You will have access to state-of-the-art studios and professional equipment to experiment with and master various photographic techniques, both within your academic activities and for the development of your personal projects.

At the same time, an extensive understanding of photographic history, visual culture, and socio-cultural dynamics will provide a solid foundation for designing with a critical and informed perspective on reality and its representations, creating connections between disciplines and languages in constant transformation.

The faculty, comprising leading national and international photographers, will guide you in understanding the artistic and professional landscape of contemporary photography. You will also have the opportunity to develop projects with prominent cultural institutions, which will give visibility to your work and allow you to explore photography applications in areas such as publishing, fashion, visual communication and advertising, art and curatorship, as well as audiovisual production and new media.
