This course, taught in English, covers all the basics of how to 'dress' spaces and create living experiences based on the relationship with objects and people.

The Interior Design and Decoration Junior Summer Course is an intensive course in English for young aspiring designers aged 15 - 18 years old with a passion for design and beauty who want to take their first steps in the wonderful world of interior design.

A learning experience that covers all the basics to understand spaces, design and decorate new interiors for new trends.

See how a professional interior designer works, discover different interior design processes and techniques: concept studies and the representation of ideas; how to use colour or materials and understand the user, and ground-breaking visualisation tools such as virtual reality, used more than ever in the sector.

This programme is taught at IED Madrid Design District - Oporto. 

Information to decide

Experiment with a world of decoration and interior design, take a close look at it from the inside out, emulate a professional in the sector, in a English-speaking summer experience with a difference.

A well-structured, practice-based, 2-week course to see the world of possibilities in interior design and decoration.

Build the basics, acquire the know-how, and conceive and design spaces. Find out how we relate to those spaces and what we put in them. Learn about fabric printing and design techniques, experiment with various methods used in decoration and interior design. Define concepts, design experiences, convey ideas, choose furniture and other essentials to decorate, and discover the importance of color and materials in interior design.

 An intensive course, taught in English, for aspiring young designers aged 15 - 18 years old. This introduction to interior design helps you develop your creative skills and discover which tools you can use in the most effective way to do what you do.

Weeks of fun learning new things in an extremely creative context, with professional designers and other young talents sharing the same interests.

A chance to create contacts with like-minded creative people in a professional sector that could be just what you’re looking for. A great way to improve your English and make the most of your holidays by doing something different.

The lighting design installation “Fabric Maze”, a labyrinth of fabrics, lights and shadows inspired by the textile past of the Poblenou neighbourhood, created warm visual compositions with each visitor’s passage.

From 2 to 6 February, 430 students at IED Barcelona took part in this annual multidisciplinary academic activity, which offered 25 multidisciplinary workshops inspired by the Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026 event. And, for the first time, it included mobility between campuses.
