Cagliari has a discrete public transport network.
Exist one metro line and numerous bus lines that allow you to easily reach any part of the city until evening and also the neighborhood. The ticket costs 1.20 € for one run, but there are different types of season tickets, discounts for students and frequent travelers.

Also a bike sharing service will be activated in the next months, through which you can get around the city on two wheels with all the benefits of cycling in traffic.
The Airport “Mario Mameli” Cagliari-Elmas is not far from the city (8 km), is accessible by taxi or by bus. The main lines flying to Milan and Rome and others main European cities. There are major low-cost airlines.
Cagliari has also a Port with cruise terminal nearby the main street and the railways station. From Cagliari there are ferry lines for Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo and Trapani, and also to Genoa and Livorno. Cagliari has also ro/ro terminal “Porto Canale”, dedicated to container traffic. A harbor area of Via Roma is reserved for tourist boats. In the city there are two touristic port: Su Siccu (Navy League) and Marina Piccola
