IED SPAIN REOPENING – SAFETY MEASURES
Since the beginning of the health crisis triggered by COVID-19, IED has been working with the vocation to protect the health of its students, teaching staff and service personnel, as well as to ensure the continuity of academic activity with the best quality guarantees.
After almost three months of confinement, during which our activity has not ceased at any time, and in which students have demonstrated their commitment to their futures, the time to reopen the doors to the IED campuses has arrived.
At this time of deconfinement in Spain, the IED work teams are progressively returning to our schools, and we are already working to ensure the return of all of our students with the necessary guarantees of sanitation and academic excellence so that, as soon as the education and health authorities allow, we can reopen the facilities to our students and welcome them back to their schools.
To ensure safety on our campuses, we count on the responsibility of each person who accesses them. All these recommendations stop being useful if they are not practiced off campus as well. The commitment to measures of hygiene and protection must be maintained in all daily routines (personal hygiene, use of a mask, physical distancing, etc.) at a personal level and in all situations.
MEASURES ADOPTED BY IED FOR REOPENING
An audit of all the IED schools/campuses has been carried out, both in Barcelona and Madrid, with an external company specialised in occupational risk prevention that has helped us to adopt all the necessary measures to ensure the reopening of our facilities with the optimal conditions to guarantee the health of our students.
The IED community must carry out a daily self-assessment of the symptoms compatible with COVID-19 before accessing the campus.
–Specific signage has been developed for each space so that the student/teacher is informed about how they must act in each space at all times.
-A checkpoint has been set up at the entrance to the school to take the temperature of each person accessing the building.
-The use of masks is mandatory.
-Physical distancing of 1.5 metres.
-The disinfection of buildings will be carried out daily and, at the end of each class, rooms will be cleaned with a special focus on the most used surfaces.
