In this postgraduate you’ll master the manual skills and technological tools you need to create unique jewellery collections, using a range of techniques from technical drawing to the latest applied science.

You’ll learn to focus on design elements and acquire an intimate understanding of the importance of functional and decorative details in jewellery, one of the most exclusive areas of fashion.

Information to decide

This program gives you the tools and resources you need to take your original designs and turn them into costume jewellery and unique fine jewellery collections or a watchmaker’s wares.

During the program we’ll focus on learning-by-doing, creating real projects so you can put what you’ve learned into practice, and experiment with a range of different tools used to create and design jewellery.

IED Madrid lecturers and students are constantly exchanging ideas, also with other project stakeholders. They’re all individuals with their own ideas, working towards a common goal.

The program includes classes on theory and practical sessions, visits, lectures and workshops. You’ll become an active member of the IED community, an international network of over 120,000 students.

The Postgraduate in Jewellery Design is for people with a passion for jewellery, who love manual work and leave nothing to chance, proud to put their heart and soul into everything they do.

If you’re a professional working in the world of fashion, and want to specialise in creative jewellery design, this is the program for you.

It’s ideal for industrial designers, graduates of the Fine Arts and people looking to start a professional career in the design of costume jewellery, fine jewellery or watchmaking.

In this IED postgraduate program you’ll be actively encouraged to use research and experiment with different materials and techniques, as you learn the ins and outs of the design process to create a complete jewellery collection.
