The educational programme of the Higher Level Training Cycle in Pattern Making and Fashion offers comprehensive training so that students will be able to meet the challenges posed by the fashion industry in the current era.
Over two years, students specialise in pattern making, modelling, tailoring and textile production processes. This allows them to master the techniques required by fashion design through a theoretical and practical programme.
The programme includes activities in multi-purpose pattern-making classrooms, a laboratory as a centre for research and experimentation and a clothing workshop. In addition, the centre offers a photography studio, drawing classroom, desktop publishing classroom and dressmaking dummies to enrich the students’ training.
After completing the two-year studies, including the supervised internships in companies and design studios, students obtain an official qualification of 2000 hours equivalent to 120 ECTS which is valid and recognised throughout the European Higher Education Area. This allows access to other training programmes, scholarships and grants from the Ministry.
At IED Fashion Madrid students are taught with a multidisciplinary focus which is essential for their professional development and prepares them to stand out in today’s increasingly complex professional world:
