This course is designed for those interested in learning skills from the ground up, in order to gain an understanding and mastery of designing functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.

Do you want to work as an Interior Designer? As part of the Interior Design 1 course, students will acquire the necessary creative tools and skills to develop all phases of the design process for residential and commercial spaces.

The creation of environments that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional requires the deployment of cross-disciplinary knowledge, both technical and creative.

This training programme is designed for those who wish to enter the field of Interior Design and reach a professional level. Through a structured training course, you will learn about the history of design, technical drawing, the use of software, as well as choosing colours and materials, in order to complete an interior design project that will serve as valuable material for your professional portfolio.

As part of the final project, you will have the opportunity to develop a complete interior design project, which will serve as a valuable source of material for your professional portfolio.

All these disciplines will then be applied to the design experience where a teacher will accompany the students through all the phases of the project, and supported by the course on representation techniques and the course on model making, which will help students to best represent their projects.

Language: The lessons are held in Italian language; to attend the course, is required a good knowledge of Italian language reading and oral comprehension.

Information to decide

Developing highly quality projects to distinguish yourself from the competition

The course combines theory and practice, providing a solid cultural and technical foundation. In this course, students explore the history and evolution of design from 1920 to the present.

You will develop technical and freehand drawing skills as well as learn all you need to know about colour, shapes, and materials.

At the end of the course, you will be able to competently use AutoCAD®, today's the most widely used program for producing technical drawings and 2D designs, Sketch-Up, for quickly creating 3D models, and Photoshop, for creating graphics.

Interior Design 1 is the perfect course for you if:

●      You are a high school or university graduate who wishes to pursue a career in interior design and is seeking a thorough and comprehensive training programme;
●      You are starting from scratch and wish to acquire skills that will enable you to independently develop a renovation or furnishing project as a competent professional

Interior Designers are in high demand in both the public and private sectors, for the purpose of furnishing private spaces as well as commercial, office, and hotel environments.

During the 8-month course, students will learn the basic techniques for building models, beginning with two-dimensional designs to three-dimensional models. Through the use of Photoshop and with the support of the graphics tablet, this course will introduce you to photo editing, post-production, and digital imaging techniques. This course will teach you how to use colour as a design tool in order to define the character of an environment.

There will also be a part dedicated to the features of a building structure from a typological, architectural, and technological standpoint.

Finally, students will be given the opportunity to experiment and make the final project as realistic as possible through a series of exercises.

Syllabus

The programme addresses cultural tools with a historical perspective on the evolution of furniture throughout history. It continues with an approach to creative tools: drawings, furniture modelling, technical digital drawing (AutoCAD® 2D), 3D digital drawing (Sketch-Up), and graphic design (Adobe Photoshop CC). It then delves into technological-sensory tools and ends with exercises to enable students to put into practice what they have learnt through the creation of a personal project.
