The course deals with the study of basic marketing techniques in the fashion industry, allowing you to acquire the tools to face a critical analysis of the market and competitors, through the presentation of real cases.

Furthermore, by analysing different types of market research and the difference between qualitative and quantitative surveys, you will be able to understand how to investigate the market.

The course is structured through theoretical lessons accompanied by many practical examples and case histories aimed at understanding the functioning of marketing applied to the fashion system.

Attendance: Lessons are spread over three weeks, are delivered on Friday and Saturday, 3 hours a day, from 12:00 to 15:00 Italian time.
Requirements: Students with a passion for this field, who have no experience or knowledge in the field are welcome. Students must have an upper-intermediate knowledge of English (corresponding to B2 level) in order to attend and benefit from the course.

Methodology and Structure: The course is structured as an online laboratory allowing you to move your first steps in the fashion marketing field.
The course is characterised by theoretical lessons, supplemented with practical activities, and a series of tasks to be developed for the day after, or in any case by the end of the course.

During the course, the teacher, professional in the field, will share with you his knowledge and experience and will answer your questions.

The Fashion Marketing course will be complemented by a module of more than 20 hours of videos with IED faculty and IED Alumni on key disciplines of creativity: fashion, interior, product and graphic design, and a selection of cross-disciplinary subjects. 
The videos are designed to help you build a foundation in the creative fields, or to widen and develop your knowledge in different areas of creativity, in a self-paced learning

Andrea Banfi

Andrea Banfi
After a humanistic education, he specialised in the field of communication and marketing in various sectors (environment, design, fashion, social) between narration and protection of creative talent. He contributed to the launch and communication of various realities related to the Third Sector, competing with the story of design and creative talent in Italy and abroad, also managing civil and environmental awareness and information projects. He worked on international projects in Australia and Canada (Winter Olympics), United States, Poland and Japan, as well as for Expo 2015 and the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy.
