IED – Istituto Europeo di Design offers 53 scholarships to support those talents who want to study abroad and boost their training path with an experience in Italy or Spain*. Whether you are considering to take an Undergraduate or a Master course, the scholarship will cover 50% of the tuition fee!

To apply, we ask you to embrace our commitment to withstand the possible interpretations of Respect! topic towards people, future and places in the contemporary challenging scenario, as identified by the United Nations’ SDG Sustainable Development Goals.

DEADLINE FOR PROJECTS SUBMISSION: DECEMBER 13TH, 2019

* Students residing in Italy can apply for courses offered in Spain while students residing in Spain can apply for courses offered in Italy. Students residing in all other countries can apply indifferently for courses offered in Italy or Spain.

How to participate

– Choose the course you want to apply for and register using the form in this page. Participation is subject to the registration.

– Read carefully Regulations and Briefing and arrange the required documents according to the “Concept features and format” (art. 4) and the “Required documents” (art. 5).

Requirements

– Participation is strictly reserved to Candidates from 18 to 26 years old (by December 31st, 2020) who will get high school diploma by September 2020.

– Candidates must show proficiency in the language of the course: B2 – as minimum level – is required.

briefing for undergraduate students

Identify three design products (material or immaterial, physical or digital) of the last fifteen years that has contributed to increase the level of respect towards individuals, genders, minorities, cultures, environments and habitats.

Select one that’s relevant to the specific undergraduate course you’re interested in and comment the reasons behind your choice. 

Follow the “Concept features and format” (Regulation art. 4).

How to participate

– Read carefully Regulations and Briefing and arrange the required documents according to the “Concept features and format” (art. 4) and the “Required documents” (art. 5).

Requirements

– Participation is strictly reserved to candidates who have turned 18 years at the moment of application, in possession of a bachelor degree or – equivalent qualification – or having a job experience in the relevant field. Graduands are eligible, as long as they obtain the academic diploma within 30 days before the discussion of the Master course’s Thesis Project.

– Candidates must show proficiency in the language of the course, B2 – as a minimum level – is required.

Briefing for postgraduate students

Identify three design products (material or immaterial, physical or digital) of the last fifteen years that has contributed to increase the level of respect towards individuals, genders, minorities, cultures, environments and habitats and select one. 

Choose one of your design ideas that might be in continuity with the product identified above and describe it. If none of your project is related please develop it or write a brief relevant and aligned to the requirements.
