IED Alumni: Carol Mezher
Carol started her creative educational path studying filmmaking in Lebanon, before moving to acting and classical music in Paris.
Successively, the Lebanese Film Festival opened her up doors to many great encounters between Italy and Argentina that led her to apply to IED Milano for the master in Event Management.
“IED definitely helped me frame many skills and enhance them through the networking possibilities that led me to where I am today. I’m still bridging the gap between the initial path taken and the job I have today, but IED has definitely played a key-role in finding a more ”stable” outcome.”
It was the year of Expo 2015, an eclectic and frenetic moment and we felt part of an encompassing movement that connected what was happening in the classroom more directly to what was happening for real.
“This is probably the greatest asset of IED, giving some sort of practicality to the field we were plunging in, right from the start.”
Currently Carol is a freelancer working as creative and content coordinator as well as copywriter on specific projects for Balich Worldwide Shows. She also runs her own company dedicated to cultural events in Lebanon, focusing mainly on cinema and developing a feature-film in parallel with Argentina. In Lebanon she ran the Lebanese Film Festival and another workshop she created dedicated to scriptwriting (www.fffmed.com).
