IED awards a scholarship at Epson Digital Fashion in Ukraine

IED is proud to announce that on September 5, 2018 in occasion of Ukrainian Fashion Week, 1 special merit-based 100% scholarship to attend a Summer Course in Italy in 2019 was awarded by Professor Giuseppe Liuzzo – Coordinator of the Three-year course in Graphic Design at IED Milano – to the winner of EPSON DIGITAL FASHION contest Ms. Katherina Gella for the fashion collection When world turns blue.

The main idea of the collection was so in line with the workshop Make VISIBLE the innvisible organized earlier in Kiev, that respected Professor was absolutely positive with the decision of the award.
This is what Katherina said at her final interview: “Everything that we buy or produce sooner or later becomes garbage. Harmful waste causes significant damage to the flora and fauna, and as a result – to the person himself. Eco-prints used in my collection call for careful and responsible use of natural resources.”

Julia Sokolova – Organizer of the Epson Digital Fashion project and Marketing Manager for Epson Europe B.V. – comments: “The goal of the competition was achieved – each designer turned a white cloth into an image with a unique combination of shapes and colors, and the process of creating collections opened up new knowledge and opportunities for further growth”.

Irina Danilevskaya – Founder of Ukrainian Fashion Week – congratulated the winners and summed up the results: “The contest opened new names of young and talented designers. We wish all participants of the project confidence in their abilities, new and fresh ideas”.

The last year winner Ms. Olga Zherebetska joined IED Milano for her Fashion Marketing course. You can read her success story in the interview on DESIGNERS.UA portal, official media-partner of IED Group in Ukraine.
