IED IS GETTING READY FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR, WHILST KEEPING ITS ATTENTION LEVELS HIGH

IED constantly monitors the development of the COVID-19 in the countries where its schools are based. Currently, the situation in Italy is under control, with all its regions being “white zones”, i.e. the band of lowest risk of infection. However, caution and attention are always high and, in the event of new regulations defined by the competent bodies, we will be ready to react.

In the meantime, school life continues in accordance with the guidelines for containing the contagion. Furthermore, this year’s exams and dissertation presentations will be held both in person and at a distance, a sign of a gradual (though still careful) return to pre-pandemic practices.

Awareness towards adherence to the Covid-19 vaccination programme is also in place for all staff and teachers since March 2021. This is to ensure the highest level of safety both inside and outside schools.

We hope to start the new Academic Year by returning (always taking care of ourselves and others) to enjoy a school laboratory, which is alive and full of humanity.

Building on the experience gained over the last year and keeping as a top priority the care for our community, we have strengthened the services started during lockdown. Furthermore, we made central the remote and virtualisation of the computer labs as well as all technological services that made possible a blended practice of the teaching courses: from the remote access to computer labs (through the Splashtop platform), to the Render Farm service for advanced graphic processing, to the supply of specific software for attending your course.

We look forward to seeing you discover all this and much more during the next Open Days!
