IED successes at ADCI Awards 2021

TWO GOLD MEDALS WERE AWARDED TO THE ITALIAN ART DIRECTOR CLUB DURING THE FINAL EVENING OF IF!. THREE BRONZE AND ONE SILVER MEDAL WERE ALSO AWARDED TO THE FORMER STUDENTS OF THE THREE-YEAR BA PROGRAMS IN COMMUNICATION DESIGN, GRAPHIC DESIGN AND CREATIVE DIRECTION.

More than 1,000 entries for the 2021 edition of the most important Italian award for advertising creativity, and the talent of former IED Milano students came up once again.
The ADCI Awards (Art Director Club Italiano) assigned 5 prizes to the proposals of IED young creatives.
Gold (first prize in the “Students” and “Experience” categories) was awarded to #ihavethisability, a campaign that already won awards in London and New York and aims to overcome the taboo on sex and disability, created for Durex by Giulia Teruzzi and Joshua Mancini of the Undergraduate in Communication Design under the supervision of the teachers Matteo Grandese and Alessandro Candito. Alongside with a Gold, from the same course, the creative proposal Invisible failures for Linkedin – Alberto Baesso and Francesco Fusi (supervised by Lorenzo Picchiotti) aims to underline how even failures are an integral and true part of a successful career.
A bronze medal in the same categories was also awarded to Let the music play for Spotify by Alberto Baesso, Beatrice Carcelli, Giulia Curia, Martina D’Avila, Gaia Demontis, Alice Ferretti, Giulia Colombo, from the same course, under the supervision of Lorenzo Picchiotti and Fabio Pedroni.
IED was awarded in Design category too (Branding, logos, websites, editorial projects) with a bronze for the irreverent social and web campaign iRadio Maria – Revive the Conversation, created by Carola Bugni and Gaia Argentino – Undergraduate in Graphic Design – for the largest religious radio station in the world.
The Experience category (Social, Digital, Events, Brand Activation), on the other hand, specifically rewarded two proposals from the Master in Creative Direction coordinated by Jack Blanga. A silver went to ReGift Diesel by Marzia Cimino, Pietro Cattaneo and Francesca Sansovini, while receiving a bronze The Unskippable Violence, for Caritas, by Camilla Gandini, Orsina Giulia Borella and Agnese Bernaus.
“As trainers, Saturday night at IF! we found two significant aspects that repay a lot of work – comments Elena Sacco, Director of the School of Communication IED Milano and Director of IED Almuni Relations – On the one hand, the stature of the projects presented that confirms a level of professional preparation absolutely up to the level of the best international communication agencies; on the other hand, having created a deep root in the world of communication that continues to bud talent, so that today, in the most innovative realities, most of our Alumni working with great profit”.
