ISTITUTO EUROPEO DI DESIGN IS BACK AT ALTAROMA WITH GRADUATED STUDENTS’ BRAVE VISIONS. Special guest Danielle Cassioli, recordman for Paralympics waterskiing.
S.OGNI (DREAMS) is the runaway show signed by the students of IED Roma Fashion School: they worked in collaboration with teachers and experts of the field to original and innovative collections designed during the three-year courses in Fashion Design and Design del Gioiello.
Altaroma will host the event within its schedule on Saturday, July 8th at Guido Reni District. Main topics of the runaway show will be new generations’ dreams, but also the bravery, commitment and determination they need to come true.
According to IED Roma Director Nerina di Nunzio «IED is exactly this, a place where creativity is central and the daily work is supported by method and professionality coming from our staff and teachers. Students’ energies and dreams live the unique opportunity to turn into concrete professional experiences. »
Under the guidance of Paola Pattacini, Coordinator of IED Roma Fashion School, next generation will present a dreamlike collection consisting in unique pieces, which can be joined to each other to create new balances and proportions. Techniques used involve handmade embroidery, textile research, extreme experimentations of craftsmanship and high-tech.
A special model will interpret students’ creations for the occasion: Daniele Cassioli, the number one Paralympics waterskier of all times, with 5 golds at 2017 Myuna Bay World Championship in the categories slalom, figure, jump, combination for blind people and absolute combination. «You dream with your eyes shut», he says, «but me and my experience are the concrete proof that you can also reach great results keeping your eyes shut. With effort, joy and determination. »
