The power of design to tell good stories in LAD Awards 2019

Santiago Restrepo, alumno of the Undergraduate course in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics and Video at IED Barcelona, won two awards at the prestigious LAD – Latin American Design Awards in the Students category.

One of the awards is in Illustration with the BONET project and another in Animation, together with Rouslan Malsagov, for the BONET 3D project.

The Latin American Design Awards recognize the best ideas and pieces of design, based on their innovation, impact and creativity; as they seek to promote the creative industry and visual communication in LATAM.

As the largest and most important design competition in Latin America, LAD Awards celebrates the exceptional work in design and recognizes the excellence of the graphic pieces made in the region.

45 experts in their discipline make up the jury of the 9 categories: Branding, Print, Editorial, Packaging, Illustration, Typography, Digital, Animation and Out-Of-Home Media. Each project is evaluated according to 4 key pillars: Formal Quality, Creativity, Functionality / Relevance and Innovation.

The prizes aim to be a symbol of the highest creative achievement and a hallmark of distinction. Being a winner of LAD Awards means the perfect opportunity to expose talent to brands, agencies and studios around the world, opening up greater opportunities for Latin American creativity.

We send our sincere congratulations to Santiago and to the team that has collaborated with him on this important project.
