IED Milano and IED Roma's School of Communication won a total of 7 awards: 4 silvers and 3 merit mentions.

IED Milano also ranks 16th worldwide in the ranking of the best creative schools, leading among Italian schools.

The Young Ones Student Awards are among the leading competitions globally, specifically for schools of advertising, interactivity and design. Judged by the best professionals in the field, students of the Undergraduate Programme in Communication Design from the two campuses had to challenge themselves on the briefs submitted by Spotify and Whatsapp, trying to stand out for the originality and implementation of their projects.

Whatsapp has called for the implementation of a campaign to raise awareness of mental health among young adults through the use of its messaging platform.

The IED Milano team, consisting of: Alice Giorgia Castelluccio, Victoria Tedesco, Tommaso Donati, Omar Confortola and Francesco Fusi produced a project called Mood Report winning 1 silver and 3 merits.

The IED Roma team, consisting of: Beatrice Coppola, Francesca Iannucci and Alessandra Astarita presented a project known as Keep in Touch winning 1 silver.

The brief given by the Swedish music streaming company Spotify involved creating an integrated out-of-the-box campaign to promote the use of the Daily Drive playlist while driving, in a time as particular as the post-pandemic where people tend to travel less frequently to offices, and more for leisure.

IED Milano wins 2 silver awards with Let The Music Play, a creative project exploring the use of Spotify not into the real world, but rather into the virtual world of on-line games such as Grand Theft Auto V, Dirt Rally 2.0 and Need For Speed.

The team consists of: Gaia Demontis, Alberto Baesso, Giulia Curia, Alice Ferretti, Martina D'Avila, Beatrice Carcelli and Giulia Colombo.
