Pol Anglada, Loewe designer and IED Barcelona alumnus, in Artist-in-Residence programme at Tom of Finland Foundation

The illustrator will stay at TOM House for three months and will have access to artistic inspiration material to work on a proposed project

Loewe designer and IED Barcelona alumnus Pol Anglada is one of three young creators who will participate this autumn in the international Artist-in-Residence programme of the Tom of Finland Foundation in Los Angeles, California.

Each year, the Tom of Finland Foundation invites eight to nine artists who incorporate the erotic into their discipline (either photography, painting, sculpture, writing or any other form of visual arts) to participate in a three-month residency at TOM House.

During their time there, they must work on a proposed project that they will later present to the public. The Tom of Finland Foundation provides them with support and access to its archives in order for them to do this, including more than half a million images, works of art, books, magazines, films, sculptures and more. The programme therefore allows them to learn, create and share experiences as part of a community.

Ton of Holland and Donald Shorter will also join Anglada.
