Every piece of jewelry is a symbol, encapsulating fragments of personal and collective stories. Around the body and our behaviours, there exists a complex system of symbols, which the Jewelry Designer translates into tangible forms that merge artistry with functionality.

The three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry Design will equip you with the skills to independently manage the entire process of creating a jewelry collection—from research and development to prototyping and communication in both artisanal and industrial contexts.

A jewelry design project begins with the study of the body, ergonomics, and identity as an extension of the body. This is combined with experimentation in production techniques and an in-depth knowledge of precious materials, circular economy practices, and the relationship between high jewelry and fashion jewelry.

Thanks to a programme that merges traditional craftsmanship with innovation, you will have the opportunity to explore both traditional jewelry-making techniques and the most advanced digital tools, such as 3D modelling and 3D rendering. With access to cutting-edge workshops and jewelry design software, you will develop bespoke jewelry pieces, experiment with precious metals and stone setting techniques, and refine your expertise in the art of goldsmithing.

Over three years, you will develop your design identity: analysing the cultural value of jewelry, exploring production processes, and learning how to craft compelling narratives and communication strategies to present your projects effectively to diverse audiences and market segments. The study of design methodologies will provide you with the tools to interpret industry demands and anticipate emerging trends in contemporary jewelry and luxury accessories while maintaining a strong creative vision.

The programme offers the opportunity to collaborate with brands and businesses, take part in competitions, and gain first-hand industry experience, allowing you to explore various fields—from high jewelry to artistic jewelry, engraving techniques, and sustainable jewelry design.
