Film, Video and Sound Design
A Creative Laboratory for Telling the World Through Images and Sounds
The Film, Video and Sound Design area focuses on the design and production of audiovisual content through the integration of visual culture, technical competencies and narrative skills. The learning path develops a critical and design-oriented approach to audiovisual production.
The training covers all phases of audiovisual production—from writing to directing, from shooting to post-production—through workshop activities that encourage teamwork and engagement with the diverse professionals in the sector. Students acquire tools to operate in contexts characterised by technological evolution and the transformation of narrative languages.
The pathway develops through research, analysis and applied experimentation activities, building technical competencies and design awareness necessary to operate in the various fields of contemporary audiovisual production.
Directing and Screenwriting
Study of writing and directing techniques for constructing audiovisual narratives, with particular attention to dramatic structure and the development of narrative languages.
Production and Post-production
Analysis and management of the production process phases, from set coordination to editing, with focus on the narrative and visual coherence of the final product.
Video Design and Videomaking
Design and production of visual content for different formats and contexts: music videos, fashion films, video art, trailers and advertising content.
Sound Design and Music for Images
Study of sound as a narrative and atmospheric element: composition of soundtracks, design of sound environments and sound design for films, video games and installations.
Cinematography and Camera Techniques
In-depth exploration of the moving image through the study of framing, lighting, camera movement and visual composition.
Motion Graphics, VFX and CG Animation
Digital animation and visual effects techniques for enriching narratives and creating immersive environments.
Competencies and Professional Prospects
The pathway develops technical, narrative and design competencies applicable in various sectors: cinema, television, advertising, fashion, contemporary art, gaming, cultural events and digital media. Graduates acquire project management capabilities, strategic vision and collaborative working aptitude.
