At IED, illustration, animation and game design constitute languages that tell stories, engage and transform. Projects take shape through visual and interactive experimentation, in dialogue with cinema, advertising, contemporary art and new media.

Immersive environments, shared virtual spaces and XR technologies are explored, to bring to life multisensory narratives that transcend the boundaries between real and digital.

Imagination, technique and design vision interweave to build worlds, characters and interactions.
The learning pathways train professionals capable of operating in entertainment, communication and digital art, through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates 2D and 3D animation, illustration, game design, VFX and motion graphics.

Projects develop within an ecosystem that promotes design culture as a lever for generating impact and transformation.
At IED, design is nourished by the contamination between disciplines, cultural awareness and technical competence, in dialogue with the Institute's transversal values: responsibility, sustainability, digitalisation and transdisciplinarity.

Students are encouraged to explore, collaborate and take responsibility, developing a critical and design vision capable of generating value for the creative industry and for society.
