IED São Paulo’s Mater Programme in Strategic Design and Innovation develops the strategic reasoning of students in order to enable them to lead projects in their fields by combining creativity and technical competence to generate innovation. It has been a long time since Design was seen as a mere makeover to become a key part of the feasibility and success of a brand, product, or service. This programme was created to meet a strong market demand for these new professionals.

Thinking strategically requires a broad and solid background that includes not only technical knowledge of design, but also advanced research practices, notions of Design Thinking, innovation, branding, cool hunting, as well as Marketing and Integrated Communication.

The courses were designed considering the conceptual, operational and planning, dealing with the various stages within the various types of events, giving a larger view on the events sector and its possibilities of action.

Information to decide

Capable of conceiving or repositioning a product or service and managing projects, research, and managing teams, the Strategic Design professionals meet the most advanced demands of the market and are qualified to become leaders in their segments and ventures. The professional formed by the IED São Paulo’s Mater Programme of Strategic Design can work in a vast selection of segments, ranging from Graphic Design to Architecture, including Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Trends, among others. This professional must think in an integrated way and sign projects that span from briefing to communication and commercialization.
