On 8 April at 3.30 pm at the Ateneu de Fabricació de Gràcia, the talk “New Textile Crafts: when tradition breaks the boundaries of design” will take place. A contemporary perspective on craft techniques related to textiles, framed within the presentation day of the sixth edition of “New Crafts Digital Revolution” by IED Barcelona, a project developed in collaboration with the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya and the Ateneu de Fabricació Digital de Gràcia, in which third-year Product Design students work in collaboration with artisans.

With Gina Nadal, textile artisan and founder of Woven Memories, a project that gives new life to intimate materials through weaving, and Francesca Piñol, master artisan weaver specialising in digital textiles and natural dyes.

Moderated by Marc Ligos, designer and lecturer, specialised in strategic and service design, creative project management, and research and educational projects for companies and institutions.
