Works by second-year Illustration students at IED Torino are on view
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM, FIATCafé500 – Pinacoteca Agnelli, located at Via Nizza 262 in Turin, will host the presentation of the exhibition Germogli, created as part of the Festival del Verde, which returns from May 4 to 24, 2026 across Turin and its metropolitan area with a widespread program of events. Parks, gardens, museums, school gardens, historic residences, nurseries, libraries, community gardens, and cultural institutions will, for three weeks, become stops in a shared narrative capable of traversing the territory and offering new ways to experience and interpret urban green spaces.
Germogli celebrates evolution and adaptation, interaction and exchange: intrinsic forces that have always shaped the delicate ecosystems of our planet and the complex relationships among living beings. Throughout the Festival, the arcades of Via Po will host a series of creative installations developed during a workshop for students of the Illustration Undergraduate Program at IED Torino, bringing the project into the urban space and making it visible to the public. The presentation on May 7 will offer an opportunity to explore these works in depth, the result of a project developed with lecturer Elisa Talentino, which investigated the relationship between nature and the future through the language of illustration.
This year’s theme, Urban Symbioses: Water and Roots, invites reflection on the essential relationship between water and the urban environment, highlighting the crucial role of this resource in cities and the dynamic interactions between water systems, urban greenery, and communities.
