IED will be participating in the 2023 edition with a twofold commitment.
On the one hand, it will play a special role as a jury member, together with Feeric FW, for the international university students showcasing their final collections during dedicated fashion shows. The main prize is a full scholarship for the IED Summer course in Fashion Brand Management, held in IED Firenze in 2024.
As an additional prize, IED and Feeric will assign two special mentions awarding a one-hour online mentoring session: one with IED Art Director and one with the head of Feeric Fashion Week.
On the other hand, a creative workshop is being organized within the official program of the week and will be carried out by Giovanni Ottonello, IED Art Director:
Trends for the Future
Broadening the perspective to see the big picture
In such a rapidly changing world, is it possible to read the present? Today's great challenge is to understand the contemporary and find new codes, new languages to communicate with generations increasingly distracted by technology. Life in 2050 will be very different: how will we still be able to talk about luxury, materials, sustainability or the future? Trends have this ability: to direct us towards possible scenarios to design objects for the new generations.
After dividing participants into groups, each creative team will be assigned a Trend and, after careful analysis and research into its meaning, a collection of at least 5 outfits or accessories (colour/material chart) for the citizens of the future will have to be created.
The workshop is open to anyone interested but places are limited. Registration is mandatory; after completing the form, you will receive a confirmation email with further details.
