In-person event

In the city of Lisbon, where the fashion scene is booming and local designers are drawing inspiration from the past to offer fresh new visions of how we should dress, IED Istituto Europeo di Design is holding a lecture entitled: "Vintage, a contemporary trend. The trends dynamics in the actual fashion scene”.

From trend forecasting ranging through brand management until fashion business, the talk will accompany the audience on a journey of exploration among different aspects of the fashion industry, starting form a topic, that of Vintage, which everyone is apparently familiar with; yet, most of us do not even imagine the variety of perspectives from which it can be analyzed nor the spectrum of shades it can reveal.

The lecture will be given by Alberto Caselli Manzini, Course Coordinator for the Master program in Fashion Trend Forecasting at IED Firenze. For over twenty years, Alberto has worked as an editor-in-chief and key collaborator for various international publications in the fashion and luxury sectors. Thanks to his strong expertise gained in various areas of the fashion industry, he has also collaborated with trade fairs, communication agencies, Italian and foreign ready-to-wear and streetwear brands such as Michael Kors, Woolrich, Erreà Sport and Pitti Immagine Uomo.

The lecture will be accompanied by a presentation of the IED network and the study opportunities it offers to international students, in the fashion area and not only.

The event is free and everyone is welcome to join, however the number of places is limited.
Therefore, it is mandatory to register.
