On February 17 at 7:30 PM, IED Madrid hosts the inaugural talk of Madrid Design PRO at its Gran Vía campus, marking the start of the program, which officially opens on February 18. The session will feature Sebastian Bergne, a British industrial designer internationally recognized for his innovative and functional approach to everyday objects.
Throughout his career, he has developed lighting, furniture, kitchenware, and tableware projects for brands such as Luceplan, Pierre Frey, Tolix, Driade, Tefal, Muji, De Beers, and Vitra. His works have also been exhibited at leading institutions, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Bergne’s intervention opens a space for reflection on design as a tool to rethink the everyday, explore new typologies, and question the boundaries between function, industry, and material culture.
