Paths, Skills, and Challenges in Contemporary Publishing

On Saturday, May 16 at 1:45 PM, in the Berlin Hall of the Lingotto Congress Centre, as part of the Turin International Book Fair, IED will take part in the talk “So You Want to Work in Publishing?”, dedicated to career paths, skills, and challenges within the contemporary publishing industry.

Starting from Paola Di Giampaolo’s book Working in Publishing Today, the event offers students and professionals interested in the field a practical overview of contemporary publishing, exploring access paths, required skills, and future challenges. Among the speakers, Matteo Milaneschi, Coordinator of the Master’s Programme in Communication and Creative Technologies at IED Torino, will reflect on the design, cultural, and technological skills currently needed to navigate the publishing sector.

The talk is part of Book-Makers, a project bringing together schools and publishing professionals through a series of lectures dedicated to the industry, and represents an opportunity for dialogue and networking among students, lecturers, and professionals.

Free admission subject to availability.
