In this series of ten photographs, young author and Fashion Design student Elisa Siciliano shares a personal experience.
Her choice to tell this story comes from the need to speak out and to turn pain into awareness. The project reflects on how language can become a form of violence, and on how communication can empower—or overwhelm.

“Elisa Siciliano responds to the heavy silence that often surrounds abuse with the driving force of creativity, pushing back against helplessness. In some of her images, a sharp, bitter irony stands in contrast to the unjust and unnecessary shame that too often silences those who endure such emotionally demanding experiences.”
— Giacomo Pisano

Developed in collaboration with IED, CEDAC, and Teatro Massimo, the exhibition is part of a shared effort to create cultural and social initiatives that give space to young voices and their way of interpreting today’s world.

The event is included in the official program of the City of Cagliari, “Feminas. Cagliari against Violence.”
