In-person event

Open exhibition of the final projects by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.

On 26 June, IED Madrid Gran Vía will open its doors to the public to showcase the Final Degree Projects developed by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Higher Artistic Education in Interior Design

Throughout the event, visitors will discover projects that respond to some of the major challenges shaping our present: changing lifestyles, sustainability, wellbeing, new uses of space and emerging forms of coexistence. The exhibition will bring together students, faculty members, industry professionals and representatives of companies and institutions connected to the design sector, creating a space for dialogue and reflection on the role of interior design in shaping new scenarios for contemporary life.

The jury responsible for evaluating this year's final projects includes Cristina Domínguez (Kresta Design Studio) and Imanol Calderón (Mayice Studio), two leading professionals in the fields of design, innovation, materials research and creative direction.

This academic year, all Graduation Projects at IED Madrid have been developed under the common theme “Times New”. Within the Interior Design programme, this framework takes shape through “Times New Realities", an invitation to question established models and imagine new ways of inhabiting space in response to the social, cultural and environmental transformations of our time.

Times New Realities

The spaces we inhabit are part of a reality in constant transformation. New social dynamics, technological developments, environmental challenges and changing ways of living and working are redefining how we understand buit  environment.

Under the concept of Times New Realities, students have developed projects that explore how interior design can act as a tool for transformation, responding to emerging needs while anticipating future scenarios. The proposals presented investigate new typologies, challenge traditional uses of space and propose solutions that place people and their experiences at the centre of the design process.

Through critical, speculative and innovative approaches, the projects imagine more flexible, inclusive and sustainable environments, demostrating how design can contribute to building realities that are better suited to the challenges of the present and the opportunities of the future.
